Winter Trails® Day 2010, now entering its 15th year, offers children and adults NEW to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing for FREE, and to discover the great fitness and social benefits with these easy-to-learn winter sports.
Winter Trails® 2010 will occur January 9, 2010, at most locations and anchor sites in the U.S. and Canada. The date for the Estes Park, Colo., event will be posted as soon as it has been announced.
Pograms and activities include the basics on getting started, how to dress, picking the right shoe, kids activities, and more. Free, guided hikes, tours and seminars occurred throughout the day. At various other locations, the size and scope of activities will vary. To participate, simply find a location near you where an event is taking place Then, we recommend that you confirm the details of the event before it takes place by either contacting the location or checking out the Web site associated with the event.
